Live chat support software - IPv6 enabled software.
IMsupporting fully support the IPv6 protocol stack.
From the dynamic "Am i online" image to the operator console, Everything is fully accessible by IPv6.
What is IPv6?
IPv6 is the next generation internet protocol addressing system. Just like IPv4, This is what every computer / mobile / appliance in the world will use to connect to websites and other internet services.Just like IPv4, Its an internet address that identifies a computer/device on the internet.
Whats the difference?
Most end users will not see any difference, It will just work.IPv6 is made up of letters, numbers and colons. Whereas the old IPv4 is just numbers and dots.
The reason for this is due to the amount of free IPv4 addresses left, The internet is just running out!
IPv6 was designed to give us a greater number of addresses to use.
Details:
IPv6 addresses look like: 2001:470:1f08:b3::2
IPv4 addresses look like: 192.168.0.1DNS records for an IP address is the same as a normal IPv4 address however instead of using (A) records to point to a webserver, We will use (AAAA) records.
The IMsupporting live chat software is fully IPv6 aware. So if you have end users using the new protocol, They will still be able to use the software.
