Get Your Widget Code

Log in to your IMSupporting dashboard and copy your widget code from Website Integrations.

  2. Go to Settings → Website Integrations.
  3. Copy the full widget code shown for your site.

Open Your Theme's Footer Template

In PrestaShop Back Office, navigate to the theme file editor to find your global footer template.

  1. Go to Back Office → Design → Theme & Logo (PS 1.7/8.x) or Preferences → Themes (PS 1.6).
  2. Click Advanced, then Manage your current theme files.
  3. Open templates/_partials/footer.tpl (or footer.tpl / layout.tpl depending on your theme).
Alternatively, access the file via FTP at themes/[your-theme]/templates/_partials/footer.tpl using your hosting file manager.

Paste the Widget Code Before </body>

In the footer template, locate the closing </body> tag and paste your widget code immediately before it.

  1. Find the closing </body> tag near the bottom of the file.
  2. Paste your IMSupporting widget code on the line directly above it.
  3. Save the file.
In Smarty-based themes, the body close is typically wrapped in a Smarty block. Paste just before the final </body> tag.

Clear Cache and Test Your Live Store

PrestaShop caches templates — clear the cache after saving to see your widget live.

  1. Go to Advanced Parameters → Performance.
  2. Click Clear cache.
  3. Open your live store and verify the chat widget appears on category, product, and homepage.
  4. Send a test message to confirm it reaches your IMSupporting dashboard.
If you use a CDN or Cloudflare in front of your store, purge the CDN cache too.
